You just have to turn off the iphone and fully charge it. After that you can continue with the charge while on status on the succeeding charge

I found a solution for the charging problems. I followed all your steps and my phone charges now, BUT battery still drains quickly (in less than 8 hrs on standby) and the phone is still hot. I am not a heavy user; most of the time, no internet connection. Is this because some apps are running still? I read about memtools, what do you think? What else can I do?

Manu, thanks for posting this.
