I found a solution for the charging problems. It’s not reset, reboot, cable or charger problems. You just have to turn off the iphone and fully charge it. After that you can continue with the charge while on status on the succeeding charge

Manu, thanks for posting this. I followed all your steps and my phone charges now, BUT battery still drains quickly (in less than 8 hrs on standby) and the phone is still hot. I am not a heavy user; most of the time, no internet connection. Is this because some apps are running still? I read about memtools, what do you think? What else can I do?

thanks alot bro! instead of doing everything u said. i just hold on to power button and the home button for 15 seconds. then i press the power button and BOOM! i look at my battery life its 100 percent. at first it was 10 everytime i plug in my usb. but plus karma yo!
