Blur @ Sathyam, Chennai : India's Finest Gaming Zone
With Blur, Sathyam Cinemas has bravely ventured into a sector which has largely been ignored in India : World Class Gaming Zones.So what does Blur offer you ? In two words. Almost Everything. Spread over 15,000 square feet at the Sathyam Complex itself, Blur will feature gaming on every conceivable platform, from PS3, XBox 360, Nintendo Wii ,PS2, PCs, Sony PSP , Nintendo DS , Arcades and fully loaded PCs. You can also choose to have a bite at the funky looking Blur cafe or show off your skills at the two lane bowling alley which is scheduled to open soon. Quite a handful of options, huh ? Well that is exactly what the team behind Blur has been aiming for. According to Rahul, the Experience Manager, Blur has been designed to to appeal to all age groups and all kinds of gamers from first timers, to novices to hard core. As a proof that the strategy is already succeeding he narrated the story of a 70 year old woman playing Wii at a recent part held at Blur
Going by the initial response, they have a winner in their hands. This is too surprising as Blur can piggyback on the enormous footfalls that Sathyam attracts. So in the "build and they shall come" strategy can already be assured that people will come. And according to Rahul, they are confident that once people experience the place they will keep coming back for more.
The Wii Zone - Level 5
The Wii Zone, which is India's first features 6 Wiis equipped with 42“ Panasonic Plasma HD Displays and has the standard Wii Sports and other games like Top Spin. Boxing, Bowling and Tennis seemed to be the most popular games.
PC Gaming - Level 4
What do you get when you mix some heavily loaded PCs with good chairs, ample space and gaming vests from TN games ? FPS Nirvana. The vests stimulate bullet impact with the help of air pumps adding a whole new dimension to the gaming experience. The machine specs are

Consoles - Level 6
7 PS3s and 10 and XBOX 360s hooked up to Panasonic 32" LCD HD Displays gives you an experience hard to replicate elsewhere. And don't forget the gaming chairs from Pyramat with built-in speakers and subwoofer giving you a feeling of being immersed in the surroundings. Blur has also tied up with Microsoft and Sony to bring you the latest hardware and titles.

- Some of the team members were brought in by Anand Ramachandran who is a creative and business consultant specialising in gaming and consulted for the project during its early stages
